Many of the most important times in the lives of Catholic people are celebrated as part of a community within the Church as Sacraments – sacred events and actions that allow us to see and feel the Spirit of Jesus at work. Our experiences are not limited to these Sacraments as God reaches out to us in many ways, however, for many these are dynamic moments which remind us that He loves us through and through.
The church recognises various times from our birth to our death in which we experience the love, support and strength of Jesus at work in our lives. Starting with our Baptism when we are welcomed into the faith community to receive the gift of God’s unconditional love and we move towards living our lives as Jesus taught us, as well as in times when we may benefit from the strength, hope and confidence that the Sacrament of the Sick may give us.
