Tonight we should be celebrating the Easter Vigil and although we can't be together we can still remember the resounding message that the Risen Jesus is alive and in that brings light, healing and new beginnings in to our world. We would welcome new members into our parish family and renew our Baptismal promise.
It is true that the world had to confront moments of darkness this year, but the Gospel of John contains a verse of great hope ‘The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.'
Why not light a candle at 8.30pm tonight as we would normally begin our Mass in darkness and share in the evening as we bring the light in to our church and our lives and reflect upon the message of hope as we move forward. We look forward to a time in the future when we overcome this time of darkness and can be together again to celebrate.
The Light of life is now burning bright through the darkness of the Covid19.
Bringing love, life and joy for all, as we share in the Easter gift of the risen Lord!
