You may already be linked in friendship, marriage or family to a Catholic? You may or may not already be a regular visitor to our weekend Masses and have decided that you would like to be a fuller member of our faith community? You may instead be at a particular point in terms of developing your own spirituality and feel there could be still more that you could learn and experience to further develop your spiritual life? Whatever the reason for opening this page we welcome you and would like to do all that we can to answer some of the questions that you might have about the Catholic Church and how you could find a place in our community.
If you decide that you want to know more, why not come along and have a chat with Fr David about our programme of preparation and what sort of commitment will be asked of you in terms of time etc? If the idea of becoming Catholic still appeals and you want to take it a stage further, it couldn’t be easier! Contact us to discuss the next steps and you will be invited to become part of a group and together we will explore questions and issues and develop your understanding of what it means to be a member of a catholic community. The great thing about these sessions is the friendliness and warmth of the group members who like you want to know more. Don’t take our word for it, experience it for yourself!
We will begin the next Journey in Faith Programme with the first of our weekly sessions on Tuesday 2nd November at St Columba’s Church, beginning with Mass at 6.30pm. This will be followed by discussion and reflection on the different aspects of the Roman Catholic Church and her teachings, see below for the full programme schedule.
Please contact the Parish Office to register your interest or for further information.
